The City of Centennial is Colorado's newest city, located in the southern Denver metropolitan area, entirely within Arapahoe County. Centennial is adjacent to the cities and towns of Aurora, Englewood, Foxfield, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch (unincorporated Douglas County), Littleton, Lonetree, and Parker.

Highlands Ranch

This website offers information about the Metro District's programs and services in Highlands Ranch, Colo. Highlands Ranch is a 22,000-acre master-planned community which was founded in 1981. The community has a population of 93,477 in 29,368 single family homes and 3,305 apartments. Highlands Ranch is located 12 miles south of Denver in Douglas County and offers a wonderful quality of life and opportunities for an active lifestyle.

The Town of Parker Colorado

Town of Elizabeth

The Town of Elizabeth has been in existence as a small, stable community since the late 1890’s. Located in the western portion of Elbert County, Elizabeth is approximately 45 miles southeast of Denver. The Town is sited at an elevation of 6,530 feet and is set in a unique pine forested area. Elizabeth has been recognized as Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. The primary transportation access to the Town is Highway 86 which runs in an east/west direction. The Town of Elizabeth is largely influenced by its proximity to communities in Douglas County, including Parker, Castle Rock and the Denver metropolitan area. Approximately 80% of the population of Elbert County live in western portions of the county and around the Town of Elizabeth.

Many residents commute to Denver and its southern suburbs to work and shop. The Town’s future is, therefore, closely tied to the growth potentials of Colorado’s Front Range communities.

Boulder County Government

Elbert County Government

Elbert County encompasses 1,854 sq miles and has a population of approximately 22,000. Nestled in the scenic areas on the east side of Denver and Colorado Springs it has become one of the nations fastest growing counties.

Jefferson County Government

Once an agricultural and mining area, Jefferson County, Colorado now is a thriving suburban, business, industrial and residential community. It's a place where the great plains meet the Rocky Mountains; with some of the most magnificent scenery in the country, from rolling grasslands and craggy rock formations, to natural foothills, rugged mountains and tumbling mountain streams.

Weld County Government

Weld County covers an area of 3,999 square miles in north central Colorado. It is bordered on the north by Wyoming and Nebraska and on the south by the Denver metropolitan area. The third largest county in Colorado, Weld County has an area greater than that of Rhode Island, Delaware and the District of Columbia combined.

The prevailing source of radon affecting most of Colorado is naturally occurring radium deposits found in the geology of the Rocky Mountains. Surveys have indicated that 43.6% of homes in Colorado have the potential of being above the United States Environmental Protection Agencys (U.S. EPA) recommended "action level" of 4 picoCuries per liter of air (pCi/L) The U.S. EPA and the U.S. Surgeon General recommend that people not be exposed to more than 4 pCi/L of radiation from radon on a long-term basis.

E-470 TOLL Highway

E-470 is a toll highway that runs along the eastern perimeter of the Denver metropolitan area. The 47-mile beltway extends from State Highway C-470 at I-25 in Douglas County south of Denver, runs east and then north through Aurora, passes along the western edge of the Denver International Airport, and turns back towards the west, terminating at I-25 on the north end of the metropolitan area just south of 160th Avenue.
